Hi all,

I’m checking to see if anyone is interested in buying my Takeda 270 Sasanoha.

Bought for $550
Looking to sell for $300

A few important points below

1. I’m selling this as it’s a knife more suited to slicing and as I’m the main cook in a vegetarian household, I don’t get a lot of opportunities to use this knife to its full potential

2. Not a huge fan of Takeda geometry for sharpening. You’ll notice on the photos that the right should is more pronounced than the left.

3. The knife has been used lightly at home and just came back from a two week tryout for a potential buyer in a commercial setting. I noticed when it was returned that the front 3-4 inches of the knife was slightly bent. I did my best to straighten it but want to be upfront and honest.

4. Usual flaking of Takeda Kurouchi is happening

This amount of bend shouldn’t scare anyone. Super thin forged san mai can do this fairly easily. With a lot of patience and no special equipment this could be made dead straight for sure.

I love my Takeda even though they don’t get the love the used to (2010-2017 or so) around here. Best this would be a salad prep monster. Release for soft veg and long enough for big greens. Also adept at slicing of course.

GLWS!
