Hey when I visited Takada no Hamono, Takada san told me the Hanabi santoku in Shirogami 2 was made by Tadashi Enami. I haven't seen many knives made by Enami but it seems he's been a certified traditional craftsman for over 20 years. Does anyone here have any experience with knives made by him?

Also bonus pics from Takada no Hamono and the Sakai traditional crafts museum:

CKTG also sells some of his kurouchi single-bevel knives, though they're sold out at the moment.

If I remember correctly he works exclusively with white 2 and blue 2. Nothing too exclusive except perhaps for a nice damascus pattern. Kikuichi, Tsukiji Aritsugu and Hitohira all sell knives that were forged by him, perhaps others as well. He mostly works with Mr. Morimoto as sharpener, so another certified traditional craftsman.
He also does knife making experiences where he sells some of his knives directly for very good prices. By the way, Alexander Bazes used to study under him.
