I guess this could be a WTB as well, but I’m looking for one of these to straighten knives. Anyone know where I can get one? Anyone able to make me one? Not enjoying using my counter. Thanks.

Zelkova on the ikkyu is passable but zelkova is a little on the softer side -- not as as soft as like, slightly harder than hinoki. . . Between hinoki and red oak but closer to hinoki. I used a zelkova one for awhile, and it's doable for yanagiba and usuba and most gyuto, but I think oak is better. Zelkova will feel like it wants to break when straightening deba, but everything else is fine
