I still don’t understand the amount of tongs.

Think chipotle but salads and every customer getting their own bowl mixed.

Beat me to it! Started grinning like the Cheshire cat as soon as I read 6146.

DHL has always been pretty good for me in Florida. Letting me presign and such which is nice. The only real annoying shipping experience was from Ardennes-Coticule...tracking info doesn't ever get sent in a timely manner, if at all, and it's usual several missed delivery attempts because I have to sign for a freaking rock??

UPS handed me a custom knife delivery. It had been in transit for a week. As I took it, I could hear the knife move inside the box.

Wish me luck boys. Hope it isn't tipped.

Welp, that was deceptive.

Knife securely in VCI paper, in kydex sheath, in knife box. Knife box was sliding in a mailer tube, which was sliding in the outer box.

Turns out my first impression was very, very wrong.

Today my bloodthirsty 240mm Denka put an inch-long red line in the palm of a friend. Like the Gurkha kukri, or the Fremen crysknife, this knife must cut every time it is unsheathed. If there are no onions nearby it will be satisfied with human blood.

Good thing I had a Curad Quickstop gauze in my wallet

Coming in the mail: 3 boxes of their bandages which integrate the clotting agent.

I keep a bottle of Wonder Dust in the truck for various wounds. Used to use it on the horses, I figure I fit in to the "other show stock" category . Makes it look like you have some sort of plague when if forms a blue-black scab though.

Gave my new (and first ever!) SG500 a whirl today and it’s so nice, can’t believe I ever bothered using anything else at that grit.

It’s fast, it’s hard, it is slow to dish, it doesn’t glaze very quickly, and I was able to work out the scratch pattern with an Imanishi 1k in about 10 minutes.
