Please explain to me how you come to mention 'flipping' in this context or what prompts you to refer to it in this thread? It's not the case that I bought the knife a week ago for 1.000 bucks and sell it now for 2.400 (what's flipping to me). I own this knife for at least 7 years and it never had another owner.

No one has to buy my knife if they don't like it; the market price for such a unique piece is difficult to determine, so what speaks against setting the price fairly high (although it must be clear to all of you here that today you cannot even remotely obtain such a knife from Xerxes at the same price), to clarify the demand? Again: Isn't it the market that regulates the price? In addition, as far as I can tell, it is customary here to set knives at a high price and then gradually reduce them, or am I mistaken?

I find this crusade against me inappropriate. I did already apologize to not offer pics immediately, yes, that's a big learning for me. But this has nothing to do with my right to sell the knife for whatever I think is appropriate.

This is all I have to say on this topic; interested people are welcome to contact me, and I can refer to some very well-known makers and collectors who will vouch for my integrity.

I have nothing negative to say, I think your reply is a very good and a logical one. BUT, for me, i would not price things different on different forums JUST for that reason. HOWEVER, (and this is obv just my 2 cents) had you priced it at 1900 euro here and said that pp fees and s/h is extra, and 1900 euro on other forum (i assume those are mostly wire transfers) that shipping inside austria/germany is included, and everywhere else is extra, then there prob be no doubts.. but these are small things...

and, imo anyone who is in the market for a 2k knife, BETTER ask for more pics, better ask more questions, and better clarify everything with you in private or public 3x more times

By the rules you can't say pp fees are extra, they have to be included in the asking price.

Y’all complaining about BST posts perpetually really need to touch grass. Who cares what is posted at whatever price. I’m not going to argue every single instance of “flipping”. WHO CARES. Why do you feel entitled to comment comment comment. Is it really that important to you in your grand scheme?

Every time I’ve ever have offered a knife over bought price I’ve always said I will buy it back. It’s usually to homies but still, we know what we are buying. You can release it to the market and if BST says you’ll take a loss, I’ll buy it back and take that loss myself. It’s not a moral dilemma as some of you feel to need to make it.

I’ve definitely only lost $$ on knives in my time here. But man I have not complained as much as half of you who don’t even buy knives here, just comment about people exchanging.

Anytime unicorns are involved emotions will run high... for some ppl its a knife others its a dream. I think its good for people to vent / voice concerns in the end...

Also at the end of the day unicorns will sell... period so does this thread / complaints really matter? who knows... you can **** talk a FM sale all you want, it will still sell to someone who idolizes it and that person will probably be happy to have it.

This topic infects other threads such as BST. It’s essentially the “mantra” here. So the “oh if you don't like the commentary, avoid it,” doesn’t seem useful here.

You’ll have members here gatekeep BST but thats alright….

How about selling your Kato for 400?


I have offered my Dalman for less money on one of the German knife forums since transactions are way easier and smoother there and feel a better connection to them. No stupid PayPal fees, easy shipping, no annyoing ghosting. Simple bank transfer, thank you, you are welcome and done.
Not saying I haven't had good experience on KKF selling and buying stuff. But I think a lot of people can agree they have had some bad interactions.


Nowhere was it stated BNIB, NIB or that it was ununsed like I see so often here. Looks in pretty good condition, just some light patina.

What I agree with is that the OP didn't do a good job providing all the details and pics I would like to see directly but I have seen enough threads started without any pics or anything. The OP provided details and additional pictures the same day when asked about it.
I already mentioned it before imo it shows some illiteracy with BST on OP's side. Better to keep it simple, show less pics and some core ones. Him lowering the price already also shows his inexperience but also might be some acknowledgement on his side. Also price reduction happened before Corrado calling him a flipper (indirectly).
It's hard to get BST-etiquette and timing. If you bump too often people won't like it but you might be missing the right person if you don't bump enough. If you lower your price some people also seem to have a problem with it.
This whole ordeal leaves a bad taste in my mouth

I’m not as knowledgeable as most on knives but I was interested in this one at first. I assumes it was bnib due to the pictures even though it didn’t say that. I was surprised when the edit came out saying how those pics weren’t current Even though I’ve never sold a knife here, or anywhere, it’s obvious to show pictures in its current state. Anything else is simply misleading and I’m glad somebody exposed this.

The pics that were originally provided were quite misleading. I was immediately interested after seeing it and hearing what everyone else was saying about it. I’m glad the current condition was made clear. I’m normally a buyer but have sold several things , like vintage camera lenses, on other sites. I’ve always shown pics of exactly what the buyer will receive in its current condition
