I have had this question for a long time now but never figured out the answer. I have this “white stuff” on my Hasegawa board that I can’t clean off for some reason. It is only on one side but not the other side. The board is more than 5 years old. Anyone know what this white stuff is and how to clean it off? Just wanted to check before I try white vinegar or just sand it…

Not sure what that is, don't have it on my hasagawa. Try bleach? It worked well on mine to take the staining off

So I have some general discoloration on mine. I can get a it of it out with the scrubber thing that they sell to re finish the board.
Haven’t tried this myself. But…..
You can also try to use some salt and half a lemon to scrub it. May not get it out but I’m sure it won’t hurt it and isn’t so aggressive as bleach.
