We’re (my wife actually - she’s more picky than me) likes the Cuckoo a lot. Texture of the rice was a step up from her former rice cooker (of which the name escapes me) and cooks relatively quickly as it a pressure cooker. Speaks multiple languages too 😀. Purchased it from this thread.

I’ve had one for probably 20+ years as my beater knife. I admit it’s an odd shape but I’m very accustomed to it.

Being relatively stupid and naive, I’m not familiar with Funaki. Are there any particular attributes that sets the Tosho x Funaki knives apart from other higher end Japanese knives?

The steel on the previous Tosho x Funaki’s appears to be White #2. I assume this release will be the same steel?

So headed out earlier to Swan Lake at SF Ballet. At first I thought the Eutsler duk would add a certain aesthetic but maybe the timascus clip maybe was too much of a statement and maybe subtlety suggested the understated silver Rask with purple hardware may be a better choice for this event.
