I tried a bunch of new stuff out with this blade. I attempted to get as close as I could to full convex geometry on the blade faces, this was also my first time using straight laminated Wolfram Special and low carbon steel, a finger stone kasumi, as well as cocobolo for the handle...
My progression is 36>120>220>scotchbrite or 320 grit rhynowet. A smaller gap between grits make removing the previous scratches easier, yes, but it also makes differentiating between the two more difficult. Alternating tilting the piece 5 degrees off of vertical and dead vertical between grits...

No, I am just obscenely critical about my hamons, but this one came together nicely. I like that little dip near the heel, it's a nice touch of character.
