I think most of the consumers at the garage sale are people just getting into j-knives, which was the case for me as well. Yes, overpriced, but I did get a Tinker Tank at a prior garage sale for less than what other vendors were charging.

To be fair, if a potential buyer has a question about a knife being sold, I don't see why he shouldn't be able to ask it in the thread? Other potential buyers may have the same question and it'll help sell the knife? 🤷‍♂️

Yes, but assuming the knife was packaged properly, it's not the seller's fault either. In that case, I think a fair compromise is the seller fix the damage, and buyer pays for shipping. But for something small like a chipped tip, I'd just bring it to a local sharpener and pay out of pocket.

The maker would probably be fine with fixing it himself, but I wouldn't want to ask him to pay for a local repair, but that's just me. Not sure what the general consensus is on that though.
